Why? Because our facility is the only facility in Florida owned and operated by an addiction psychiatrist.
“I realized that there were whole groups of people not being treated because their cases might be too difficult or not profitable enough. I’ve dedicated my life to helping the people no one else will.” – Dr. Robert A. Moran, M.D., F.A.P.A., F.A.S.A.M.
We specialize in:

Every individual is made aware what their available options are, and which treatments will work for them. We call this “evidence-based medicine.” These treatments cannot have this label without numerous medical studies done by professional researchers and clinicians. Then and only then are they accepted as the most effective treatment.
When the science is ignored, people suffer needlessly, and it is heartbreaking. Far too often people seek treatment from individuals without even knowing their credentials. If you found out you had cancer, you wouldn’t just listen to anybody for help—you would consult a doctor.
Substance use and mental health disorders are a more fatal epidemic than cancer.
In 14 years (’98- ’12), cancer took 595,600 people.
In 14 years (‘00 – ’14), drug overdose took 516,000 people
In 14 years (‘00 – ’14), suicide took 550,000 people
That is what we do here at the Family Center for Recovery. The goal is to help you feel much better by resolving disabling symptoms and improving overall functioning in the world. We work with the family and loved ones, and as a unified team we never give up until we have helped you achieve those goals.
